Conversation With Bob DiBiasio
On Thursday, April 4, Guardians Senior Vice President for Public Affairs Bob DiBiasio spoke to fans in the Judge Brendan Sheehan's courtroom ahead of the home opener.
DiBiasio looked at the team's history, and why the name change to Guardians from Indians was so important. He called it "the right thing to do." DiBiasio also explained all the changes being made to Progressive Field, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2024! Much of the work is in the upper decks and former Terrace Club.
"Bobby D" also discussed new manager Steven Vogt, who got the chance to take over a successful franchise after the retirement of Tito Francona. Most new managers are hired to help rebuild a franchise.
