Justice Center Access and Parking
If I need to visit Common Pleas Court at the Justice Center or the old Cuyahoga County Court House, where can I park? Click here for answers to questions you may have before visiting the Justice Center.
The General Division | (216) 443-8560
Unlike the other divisions, judges in the General Division have what is called "general jurisdiction" to hear civil and criminal cases. Under Ohio law Municipal courts have jurisdiction to hear civil cases with a value of up to $15,000.00; Common Pleas civil jurisdiction has no upper limit. Criminal jurisdiction includes all crimes defined by statute as felonies, as well as other certain criminal offenses. Court Administrator: Gregory M. Popovich
Where is the Common Pleas Court?
The General Division of the Common Pleas Court is located at the Justice Center, 1200 Ontario Street, in downtown Cleveland. On-street parking is very limited; if you drive, you should plan to park in a lot or garage. The Justice Center is only two blocks from Public Square, and is near to several RTA bus and rapid transit lines.
