Judge John J. Russo: Public Servant of Cuyahoga County Honoree

Judge John J. Russo was a 2021 honoree during Italian American Heritage Month in Cleveland.

The Cleveland Italian American Heritage Committee, in partnership with the City of Cleveland Mayor’s Office and Cleveland City Council, held year's ceremony virtually on Monday, October 4.

"I am honored and humbled to be the Public Servant of Cuyahoga County Honoree for 2021 of the Cleveland Italian-American Heritage Committee," says Judge Russo.

Judge Russo has been on the Bench since 2005, and served as the Court's Administrative and Presiding Judge for six years from 2014 through 2019. Prior to the bench, Judge Russo was a civil and criminal litigator for 12 years in his private practice.

Due to the ongoing pandemic, the ceremony for Cleveland Italian American Heritage Month was a private event for honorees and their guests only. Check out www.CLEItalianAmericans.org for information on how to stream the ceremony.
