Save Our Homes Month
The Court partnered with several other organizations for a "Save Our Homes Month" initiative.
Two in-person sessions were held in October to counsel homeowners on how to resolve tax or tax certificate delinquencies. In some cases, grants are available, and repayment plans can be discussed. If a home is facing foreclosure, homeowners can get some of their questions answered, or seek avenues of assistance.
Magistrates Director Stephen Bucha says, "This is a great opportunity to get into the community and assist troubled homeowners, often before their issues wind up in the legal system."
Along with in person consultations, the public could also attend via Zoom. In all, close to 100 people were provided with assistance!
