15 Complete Veterans Treatment Court

Fifteen veterans successfully finished the Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Veterans Treatment Court (VTC) program and were awarded certificates of completion on Thursday, July 13. The ceremony was held in the atrium of the historic 1912 courthouse on Lakeside Ave.

VTC Judge Andrew Santoli personally congratulated each graduate and presented them with a commemorative challenge coin and certificate. Judge Santoli the hard work they put into the program had paid off.

Approved by the Bench in 2015, the mission of the VTC is to rehabilitate veterans by diverting them from the traditional criminal justice system. The program involves a treatment team comprised of the Court, the Veterans Administration, community treatment providers, the Cuyahoga County Veterans Service Commission, the Prosecutor’s Office, and the Public Defender.
