Veterans Treatment Court 7/12/22

Three veterans successfully finished the Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Veterans Treatment Court (VTC) program and were awarded certificates of completion on Tuesday, July 12.

VTC Judge Andrew J. Santoli personally congratulated each graduate and presented them with a commemorative challenge coin and certificate. This was Judge Santoli's first graduation since taking over VTC from Judge John J. Russo.

The ceremony was attended by VTC participants and their families, including some by Zoom.

Approved by the Bench in 2015, the mission of the VTC is to rehabilitate veterans by diverting them from the traditional criminal justice system. The program involves a treatment team comprised of the Court, the Veterans Administration, community treatment providers, the Cuyahoga County Veterans Service Commission, the Prosecutor’s Office, and the Public Defender.
